BLBCA's Big Ol' BC Backcountry Brag Off

With hundreds of awe inspiring photos submitted by bakcountry enthusiasts from all over North America, it made it incredibly difficult for our judges to pick winners. In the words of judge Pat Morrow: “The BLBCA's Big Ol' BC Backcountry Brag Off really showcased the photographic talent of the backcountry community in BC and beyond.”

The Brag: “After a 5 day storm, the skies cleared and Dominic, Katherine and I went up to the Pass and had a blast! It was awesome!”

Judges' Statement: “For wilderness backcountry skiing, most of us work hard to find good snow and trees to give a sense of "the ultimate tree skiing shot". This photo of Everts’ captures much of what backcountry skiing is about in BC’s mountains.”

Judges' Statement: “A hiking adventure for most people is a great campsite in the Alpine with the beauty of wildflowers. The picture of Corno's gave us a warm and fuzzy feeling of the perfect summer hiking experience.”
